Festival Fever Blog Tour: Day Five

Festival Fever Blog Tour: Day Five

Well, we're wrapping it up, folks. Today is the last day of the Festival Fever Blog Tour.  I have LOVED seeing all the looks these ladies came up with.  Each one of them went above and beyond to create stand-out pieces, and I have truly been inspired by their creativity.

Every little community around me has a festival-- Cranberry Festival, Apple Festival, Ice Festival, Gordon Good Neighbor Days, Musky Fest, Lucky Days, the list seriously goes on and on.  I feel like these events bring out the best in each community: people coming together to showcase what their little town has to offer and celebrating what makes them unique.  And blog tours are so like that! There's something about being apart of a blog tour that pushes people to bring their best to the table and celebrate their love for creating. Today's bloggers are no different!

Kelsey from 52 Week Sewing Challenge spends her summers in Maine, where there's a food festival for everything! In the land of lobsters and whoopie pies the elastic waist on her woven With Love Dress (with a Groove Tank back) is up for the challenge and so am she!  Find out more here.

Sewing Ambi lives in a coastal city where the festival vibe lasts all summer long.  She made an awesome mash-up of the Illusion Tunic and the Riot Skirt- a great festival dress!  I never would have thought about mashing those two together- what a fantastic idea! Find out more here.

Diana at My Sewing Roots made a RuLo perfect for the San Diego Farmer's market. I LOVE the criss-cross straps and V-neck she added- totally my jive! Read all about how she got her craft on at her blog.

Kate Will Knit made an outfit to wear to a Winter Wine Festival (that's my kind of festival!).  Comfy and trendy, and perfect for layering, depending on the weather, she made the Road Trip Bodysuit with the Festival Freebies Skirt.  This picture gives me all the feels. About sewing, festivals, and wine. Ha! Read more about it here

So, cheers to George + Ginger for supplying us with the amazing patterns to bring our festival visions to life.  And cheers to all the bloggers that shared their work with you over the course of the week. I didn't quite know what I was getting myself into when I had this festival blog tour vision in my mind, but I'm so happy I went with it, that Kristi was on board, and that these amazing sewists wanted to come along for the ride!
Thanks so much for reading-- if you need to catch up on the week's posts take a click on through the line-up!
